Why am I Doing This?

The three reasons why this came to be and why I am here.

1. I love to talk. You might not know this about me because I am inherently shy but the fact is I generally have an opinion about everything and I love being able to share it. The internet provides me with the forum to do that. Hooray for the internet.
2. I enjoy my life and I want you to enjoy yours. My goal here to remind you of the fun things that surround you every day....you know, the whole stop and smell the roses thing? I am hoping to post mostly free and cheap things to do in Southern California. People always tell me that Ben and I do the most fun stuff and it probably seems like we have a lot of money. We don't. Sure, we splurge here and there but most of our money goes to bills so most of what we do is inexpensive. Ben said that calling this blog "Lucky to Be Me" would make it look like I am showing off. I'm not. I feel lucky everyday for what I have but that shouldn't be unique. You should feel lucky to be you, to do what you do, and to have what you have.
3. I reunited with a friend, Trisha, on facebook and she has a blog about things to do in the Orange County area and I love reading it. Her blog is geared more toward what to do with your kids that won't cost a fortune but I have taken a few of her suggestions and enjoyed the activities kid-free.
